General Business Mary Esther called the meeting to order at 6:00 pm. John led the Prayer, and Bob led the Pledge of Allegiance.
The Minutes of the February 6, 2019 Meeting were read by each Board Member. Allen motioned to accept the Minutes, Bob seconded the motion, and all were in favor.
Building Permits to Review There were no Building Permits to review.
Board Member Reports Allen brought up the possibility of a cell tower coming to the Valley. He will look into this and let us know. John brought up the road problems and flooding. The County had looked at a culvert being installed across Main Street at Sage. They agreed to do this if possible. We will be looking forward to this as it would take care of one major water problem.
Fire Chief Report Steve went over the four incidents in the last month. He has been finding sump pumps for the people in the Valley. Steve has been talking with the County about the road access above the Syd Izatt home. Steve is concerned about fire trucks being able to turn around. He will be meeting with Dean Cox this month to bring this matter up. Allen will check on the Post Office Boxes that are being built and report next month. Gerald had a meeting with the EMT’s and talked about donating organs and tissue. The Valley has a great Fire Department and EMT’s.
Treasurer Report Rick read and explained the “Profit and Loss Sheet” dated February 2019, the “Profit and Loss Detail Sheet” dated February 2019, the “Profit and Loss Budget vs. Actual Sheet” dated January through December 2019, the “Balance Sheet Previous Year Comparison” dated As of February 28, 2019, the Edith Green Fund “Profit and Loss Detail Sheet” dated January 1 through March 4, 2019 and the Edith Green Fund “Balance Sheet Prev Year Comparison” dated As of February 28, 2019. Rick showed us a copy of the Annual Fire Assessment bill, the Fire Chief’s Letter, and the PVSSD Board’s letter to be mailed out in April. Everyone agreed with just a few changes. Rick said the Insurance Papers due April 1 were all filed. Rick said the Speed Signs we ordered in December should be shipped on March 8. Rick talked to The Five County and RAP for financial help with a Community Center Building and has applied to both places. The maintenance on the new building was brought up and Rick said he would come up with an estimate on the new building. Gerald suggested we should send a Thank You Note to Ron Whitehead thanking the County for the fine service in plowing the roads this winter. Mary Esther offered to do this. Ford told us they had put their house up for sale and would be moving to St George and would be resigning from Chairman of the LAD Board. He will continue to serve on the Board until his term is up. Allen motioned to accept the financials and Bob seconded.
Bob motioned to adjourn, John seconded and all were in favor.
