Mary Esther called the meeting to order at 6:00 pm. Herman led the Pledge of Allegiance and John led the prayer.
The Minutes of the July 5, 2017 Meeting were read by each Board Member. Herman motioned to accept the Minutes, Dall seconded the motion and all else were in favor.
Building Permits to Review
A Building Permit was presented for Mr. and Mrs. Don Ipson by contractor Steve Van Cleve at 36 South, 400 West. It was approved and signed by Mary Esther, Herman and Allen.
Board Member Reports
Mary Esther brought up our meeting with the County Commissioners we have each quarter. Everyone agreed and Mary Esther offered to set up a time for our next meeting. Allen suggested we check the April 10 meeting agenda to review projects from that meeting. Mary Esther commented on the new Guide Rails coming into the Valley. We are all happy about this improvement.
Dall Winn Dall received a call looking for a key to the bulletin board by the Tithing House. Dall checked and noticed it needs some repairs. Frank has a large ATV poster with smaller ATV brochures for handouts and wants to use the bulletin board. Frank offered to get the key and repair the bulletin board.
John Nichols commented he was glad to see the road repairs done by the County, the markers to find the road in bad weather and the new cattle guard work.
Fire Chief Report Rick took us on a tour of the two new Fire Trucks. Rick thanked the Board for funding the Fire Equipment.
Treasurer Report: Rick explained the insurance audit is all done and transparency is fine. Rick will be sending out late reminders for the impact fees not yet paid. Rick read and explained the “Balance Sheet” dated July 31, 2017, the “Profit & Loss Sheet” dated July 2017, the “Profit and Loss Detail Sheet” dated July 2017 and the “Profit and Loss Budget vs. Actual Sheet” dated January through July 2017.
Gerald reported the fire department had a very busy month. He reported 50 people have signed up for Wilderness Medicine. He met with the County Emergency Manger about the Certs Program. The County says we have no reason to have a Certs Program here. Gerald showed the new up to date map with the names of everyone’s name on their property. Gerald just had a Birthday and shared his cake with us.
Frank commented the New Cemetery Committee had the first meeting and it went very well. Frank brought up getting a new, larger bulletin board.
Dall motioned to adjourn the meeting at 7:00 pm. John seconded and all were in favor.
The next scheduled PVSSD meeting will be September 6, 2017 at 6:00 pm.
