General Business Mary Esther called the meeting to order at 6:00 pm. Allen led the Prayer, and Larry led the Pledge of Allegiance. The Minutes of the May 6, 2020 Meeting were read by each Board Member. Allen motioned to accept the Minutes, Larry seconded and all were in favor.
Building Permits There were two building permits issued.
Board Member Reports Mary Esther Reported the Steering Committee for 5 County will hold a meeting we might be interested in on the 10th of July. We can log on to their meeting
Fire Chief Report There were 3 calls out this month. The total for the year is down from last year. There have been a lot of fires around the county. We are under restrictions now. The new fire truck has the logos now and we want to get a picture with Eva Mack. The Edith Green fund has been very helpful in updating our Fire Department Equipment. Mary Esther will contact Eva and Rick Albee will help get the truck outside when Eva can be there. Steve is still working on getting the estimates for the cement work in front of the Fire Stations. Allen said the roadwork in the Valley that the county is doing is coming along good. They have paved some streets and will be chipping some streets in July and August. Rick and Frank have been working on a Telephone Booster for the Fire Station Building. We know this will help cell service in the station.
Treasurer Report Rick read and explained the “Profit and Loss Sheet” dated May 2020, the “Profit and Loss Detail Sheet” dated May 2020, the “Profit and Loss Budget vs. Actual” dated May 2020, “Balance Sheet Previous Year Comparison” dated As of May 31, 2020, the Edith Green Fund “Profit and Loss Detail Sheet” dated January through May 2020 and the Edith Green Fund “Balance Sheet Previous Year Comparison” dated As of May 31, 2020. Larry motioned to accept the financials and Allen seconded, all in favor.
Emily Nielsen reported on the progress of the committee formed to stop the building of a trailer park in Pine Valley. Rick Albee mentioned Central will have an EMT Program early next year. He will soon be distributing a new program, “Ready Set Go”, which is a Wild Land Fire Action Plan. Mary motioned and Allen seconded to close the meeting.
The next scheduled PVSSD meeting will be in July 1, 2020.

Larry welcomed everyone. Minutes were accepted by Frank and Allen. Rick’s financials were accepted by Frank and Allen. Larry asked Rick to explain the Traffic Report from the speed signs we have been monitoring. Rick explained the traffic differences between the east side of town and the west. Mary said it was virtual reminder of our speed. All agreed it was accomplishing what we wanted.
Allen motioned to adjourn the meeting, Frank seconded, and all agreed.
The next scheduled PVLAD meeting will be July 1, 2020.
