Pine Valley Special Services District Meeting (PVSSD): Minutes of the Meeting held on January 8, 2020

Attending Board Members: Mary Esther Putnam, Chairwoman; Allen Cannon, Bob Dalley, Larry Gardner and Herman Nordbruch

Also Present: Rick Peetz, Treasurer; Rachel Carignan, Secretary

Absent: Steve Shakespeare, Fire Chief

Guest: Frank Davie, Dan and Jan Brown, Duane and Audrey Krohn, and Bart Imlay

General Business Mary Esther called the meeting to order at 6:00 pm. Bob led the Prayer, and Allen led the Pledge of Allegiance. The minutes of the December 4, 2019 meeting were read by each board member. Allen motioned to accept the minutes, Herman seconded and all were in favor.

New board members Herman Nordbruch and Larry Gardner were welcomed to the board. Mary Esther informed us that John Nichols has been appointed to the Transportation Board. Larry moved that Mary Esther stay as Chairman, Allen seconded and all agreed. Eric Clark, our County Attorney will be coming to our meeting in March.

Fire Chief Report Rick reported on the 3 EMT incidents this month. Rick told us about the fire training coming up. Three trucks have all new tires which amounted to $2890.00. We have two more trucks to tire. Mary Esther wrote a letter to the Edith Green Foundation and to Eva Mack thanking them for the donation to the Fire Department.
Treasurer Report Rick read and explained the “Profit and Loss Sheet” dated December 2019, the “Profit and Loss Detail Sheet” dated December 2019, the “Profit and Loss Budget vs. Actual” dated January through December 2019, “Balance Sheet Previous Year Comparison” dated As of December 31, 2019, the Edith Green Fund “Profit and Loss Detail Sheet” dated January through December 2019 and the Edith Green Fund “Balance Sheet Prev Year Comparison” dated As of December 31, 2019. Allen motioned to accept the financials and Bob seconded, all in favor.

Frank from the audience mentioned the great leadership in the fire department. Bob Hansen and Rick Albee and others are raising the level of training at the Fire Department which is for the betterment of the community.

Closed the PVSSD Board Meeting and Opened the PVLAD Board Meeting.

The next scheduled PVSSD meeting will be February 5, 2020 at 6:00 pm.
