Pine Valley Local Administrative District Board Meeting

Welcome: Meeting called to order by Frank. Prayer given by Allen, and Pledge of Allegiance led by Mike.
Pine Valley Overlay Business: No requests this month. Emily presented a discussion guide for future meeting permit requests.
Minutes from December 2022:Bob moved to approve, Herman seconded, and all in favor.
Board Member Reports:
Bob reported the traffic trends from the previous month. The electronic sign going west near the east side of the valley had the highest amount of traffic in the last 3 years. The sign going east from the west side of the valley had the least amount of traffic in the last 3 years.
Herman reported last month’s Purgatory bookings were low, as well as low inmate releases and number of inmates in the facility. No significant arrests, notable convictions, or Pine Valley crimes.
Mike reported a nasty flu bug going around in the county.
Community Watch: Gene reported a deso meter test with Iron County was held this week. The fire station meters will be tested at some point.
Mail Building: Allen reported and presented an initial mail building draft from Campbell Architects. Progress being made.
Treasurer Report: Rick presented December financials. Bob approved, Herman seconded, and all in favor. Rick mentioned that the 2023 budget has been sent and approved by the State of Utah. The budget has also been sent to the county.
Citizens Request: No requests or issues.

Welcome: Meeting called to order by Mary Esther.
Minutes from December 2022 Meeting: Herman approved the minutes, Bob seconded, and all in favor.
Board Member Reports: None
Mail Building: Discussed in the PVLAD meeting.
Fire Chief Report: Four EMT calls since the last meeting, three in Pine Valley and one in Central. Fire units were called to a propane explosion call that did not result in a fire. Robert reported the Tender has been painted, and a fire nozzle has been installed. The unit is close to being completed for use.
Treasurer Report: Rick presented the December financials. Items were purchased in December such as radios, gas detection meter, hoses, and an AED. Electrical work was also completed on a vehicle and in the station. Bob approved the financials, Allen seconded, and all in favor. Rick mentioned the State of Utah has received the 2023 budget and it was approved. The county has also received a copy of the 2023 budget.
