April 6, 2022

PVSSD Assistants:  Rick Peetz, Treasurer; Steve Shakespeare, Fire Chief; LaDawn Christensen, Secretary

Welcome:  Meeting called to order by Mary Esther.  Prayer given by Mike and Pledge of Allegiance led by LaDawn.

General Business:Mike moved to approve the March 2022 meeting minutes, Herman seconded and all in favor.

Board Member Reports:

Post Office Building:Rick asked the board for $200 to construct shelves for book sharing.  Approved.

Pine Valley Building Permits:  No building permits issued last month.

Fire Chief Report:>Steve reported nine incidents since our last meeting.  Six EMT related calls, one EMT/fire call, one dump station call, and one campfire not completely out.  Three of these calls were cancelled after initial callout.

Treasurer Report:  Allen moved to approve the March 2022 financials.  Mike seconded, and all in favor.

Citizen Requests:   No issues or requests.

The next scheduled PVSSD meeting will be May 11, 2022. [Rescheduled to May 4, 2022]

PVSSD Board Meeting adjourned.  Moved into PVLAD meeting.

Welcome:  Frank Davie

Minutes from March 2022:  Herman approved, Mike seconded and all in favor.

Board Member Reports:

Frank Davie reported that the mailman doesn’t have enough room to sort his mail in the mail building due to the UPS and FEDEX packages being placed there.  They are delivered to the building when the drivers cannot deliver to customers with heavy snow.  Frank Davie will take this as an action item and report next month.

Frank mentioned that some areas of the Pine Valley Road fencing needs maintenance.  The county will be contacted.

Herman Nordbruch, county crime report:  Current bookings are consistent with previous months.  No significant activity to report in Pine Valley or the county.

Mike Stucki, five-county public health report:  Nothing significant to report.

Community Watch:  Gene Phillips reported on the Community Watch program.   Seventy-seven families have signed up. Gene and Herman will be meeting with block captains within the next month.  A meeting is scheduled for May 7.

Home Fire Alarms:  Nothing to report.

Pine Valley Dump:A smoldering fire in a dumpster was reported April 2.  Fire Department responded.

Treasurer Report:  Rick presented financials. Mike approved and Herman seconded, and all in favor.

Citizens Request:  No requests.
