GENERAL BUSINESS
Mary Esther Putnam called the meeting to order at 6:00 pm, and John Nichols led the Pledge of Allegiance.
Meeting Minutes
Minutes of the Meeting for Sept. 7, 2016 were read by each Board Member. Herman motioned to accept the Minutes. Allen seconded the motion and all else were in favor.
Building Permits to Review
There were no Building Permits, but a discussion followed with a suggestion to review our current guidelines.
Board Member Reports
Dall reported on the Firemen and EMT Appreciation Dinner to be held on Nov.12, 2016. The plans have all been made and waiting to see how many people will be coming. He also reported that he had sent out bids to three contractors and had received a reply from JMI, Jennings. He will contact the County with this information and move forward with it.
Fire Chief: Gerald gave us a copy of the Chief’s Report 5 October 2016. Laurett Winterton reported on nine EMT incidents in September. Gerald read his report to us. He explained they were still looking to purchase a fire truck.
Treasurer Report: Rick Peetz read and explained the “Balance Sheet” dated September 30, 2016, the “Profit & Loss Sheet” dated September 2016, the “Profit & Loss Detail” dated September 2016 and the “Profit and Loss Budget vs. Actual” dated January through September 2016. Rick asked for a new computer program. John motioned to buy the program, and Herman seconded, with all else in favor. Rick said we would start on the first Review of the Budget next meeting and asked it to be placed on next month’s agenda.
Dall motioned to adjourn the meeting at 7:00 pm. Herman seconded and all were in favor.
The next scheduled PVSSD meeting will be November 2, 2016 at 6:00 pm.
