General Business
Mary Esther called the meeting to order at 6:00 pm. Allen led the prayer and Bob led the Pledge of Allegiance.
The minutes of the September 5, 2018 meeting were read by each Board Member. Bob motioned to accept the minutes. Allen seconded the motion, and all were in favor.
Building Permits to Review
There were no Building Permits to review.
Water Constraints
Last month it had been decided to draft a letter to the Utah Division of Water Resources to address some of our concerns about water in the valley. After some discussion and help from Larry Gardner, who explained many different water issues, it was decided to continue our discussion with members of the Water Board. Larry was very helpful answering our questions.
Board Member Reports
John and Bob had met with Jeff Drake, a Foreman from the County Road Department about road issues in the valley. One area at the corner of Sage and Main Street floods as water has no place to go. Jeff agreed the area needed drainage and was willing to put it on agenda. John also brought up that the cattle guard coming into town has settled. Jeff said he is aware of it and there is already a work order on this. Steve said the County has always been helpful with our drainage problems. Mary Esther mentioned on October 22 there is an information meeting for the Five County Block Grants if anyone wants to attend.
Fire Chief Report
Steve went over the eleven incidents in the last month. He said the new EMT Truck is in service. It has additional shelving and steps to help get into it better. The Annual Fireman Appreciation Dinner will be held Thursday October 25th at the Branding Iron, and this year they will be serving a Buffet. It was also brought up that we should keep track of Board Member’s Terms. Rachel offered to go to the County and get the information for our next meeting. Nick Glidden, District Ranger, Forest Service brought us up to date on current projects in the Park and at the Heritage Center.
Treasurer Report
Rick read and explained the “Profit and Loss Sheet” dated September 2018, the “Profit and Loss Detail Sheet” dated September 2018, the “Profit and Loss Budget vs. Actual Sheet” dated January through December 2018, the “Balance Sheet” dated As of September 30, 2018, the Edith Green Fund “Profit and Loss Sheet” dated September 30, the Edith Green Fund “Profit and Loss Detail Sheet” dated January through September 2018, and the Edith Green Fund “Balance Sheet” dated As of October 2, 2018. Also, the “PVSSD Impact Fee Schedule, Revenues on Hand Sheet” for the year ending December 31, 2018. Financials were motioned by Bob, seconded by Allen and all were in favor.
John motioned to adjourn at 7:15 pm. Bob seconded and all were in favor.
The next scheduled PVSSD meeting will be November 7, 2018 at 6:00 pm.
