General Business Mary Esther called the meeting to order at 6:00 pm. Allen led the Prayer, and Dave led the Pledge of Allegiance.
Rick introduced Laurett Winterton one of the EMT’s in the Valley to explain a piece of refurbished equipment the Fire Department wants to purchase. It’s a Chest Compression System powered by battery. The Machine does CPR and would relieve a person to do other things. The cost is $9074 and would come from the Edith Green Fund. After discussion, Bob motioned to buy the Machine, Allen seconded and all agreed.
The Minutes of the March 6, 2019 Meeting were read by each Board Member. Allen motioned to accept the Minutes with one correction, Dave seconded the motion, and all were in favor.
Building Permits to Review Two from last month have been signed.
Board Member Reports John talked with the County about the roads. They will be working on them soon. John mentioned the cutting along the road side on the Pine Valley Road looks good. Bob asked about the speed signs and Rick said they are on a skid in the Fire House. Rick has talked to Ron Whitehead and they will discuss the location.
Fire Chief Report Rick went over the three incidents in the last month. Rick thanked the Board for approving the Chest Compression System. Signs will be placed on the East side of Town.
Treasurer Report Rick read and explained the “Profit and Loss Sheet” dated March 2019, the “Profit and Loss Detail Sheet” dated March 2019, the “Profit and Loss Budget vs. Actual Sheet” dated January through March 2019, the “Balance Sheet Previous Year Comparison” dated As of March 31, 2019, the Edith Green Fund “Profit and Loss Detail Sheet” dated January March 2019 and the Edith Green Fund “Balance Sheet Prev Year Comparison” dated As of March 31, 2019. Rick showed us a copy of the PVSSD Impact Fee Schedule Revenues on Hand FY Ending December 31, 2019 and explained the Sheet. Rick showed us a sheet of Potential Costs for a Community Center. Bob motioned to accept the financials and Allen seconded, all in favor.
Lee Snow talked about the new well they are planning on drilling. Duane Krohn asked about how the different tanks worked. Lee explained and answered all our questions. We are glad Lee attends our meetings and informs us. Lee explained water conservation to us.
Dave motioned to adjourn, John seconded and all were in favor.
