General Business Mary Esther called the meeting to order at 6:00 pm. Allen led the Prayer, and Bob led the Pledge of Allegiance.
The Minutes of the April 10, 2019 Meeting were read by each Board Member. Allen motioned to accept the Minutes, Bob seconded the motion, and all were in favor.
Building Permits to Review None
Board Member Reports Mary Esther will contact the County Commissioners to set up a time for a meeting this month. John mentioned the many repairs the County has done on the roads. They have brought in many loads of road fill. We all appreciated the repairs made on the Cattle Guard going out of the Valley. The road down from Pine Valley has been worked on and the improvements are appreciated. Larry reported the road to Grass Valley has been repaired. Dave demonstrated the Chest Compression System the Fire Department has purchased. It takes the place of a person and that frees up one of the EMT’s. Everyone was pleased with the new equipment and the demonstration.
Fire Chief Report Steve went over the nine incidents in the last month. He also told about the planned burning in the campground and it will continue for a few more days. Steve showed us a bid for approx. $120,000 for 18 hydrants, 13 in Lloyd Canyon and 5 in the main part of town. Steve suggested we do all 18 now even though it is more than we had originally planned. Rick said we need 3 bids to spend that amount of money. Steve said he will get 2 more bids.
Treasurer Report Rick read and explained the “Profit and Loss Sheet” dated April 2019, the “Profit and Loss Detail Sheet” dated April 2019, the “Profit and Loss Budget vs. Actual Sheet” dated January through December 2019, the “Balance Sheet Previous Year Comparison” dated As of and April 30, 2019, the Edith Green Fund “Profit and Loss Detail Sheet” dated April 2019 and the Edith Green Fund “Balance Sheet Prev Year Comparison” dated As of April 30, 2019. Rick showed us a copy of the PVSSD Impact Fee Schedule Revenues on Hand FY Ending December 31, 2019 and explained the Sheet. Bob motioned to accept the financials and Dave seconded, all in favor.
Dixie Power invites all the residents of Pine Valley to their Meeting and Dinner in the Campground June 4th at 5:00 pm.
