Pine Valley Special Services District Meeting on Aug, 3, 2016 at 6:00 pm

Guest: Frank Davie, Guin Winn, Bruce Bergeson, Ford Northington, Ray Lindblom, Tom Nielsen and Special Guest Fermin and Violet Esparza and Fred Pendleton
GENERAL BUSINESS
Mary Esther Putnam called the meeting to order at 6:00 pm, and Herman Nordbruch led the Pledge of Allegiance. Gerald then Welcomed Special Guest Fermin and Violet Esparza and Fred Pendleton and presented Fermin a Shirt for his many years as a Fireman and Fred a Shirt for his many years as a Fireman in Communications. They are both Life Members of the Pine Valley Fire Department. Both Fred and Fermin thanked Gerald and the Fire Department.
Meeting Minutes
Minutes of the Meeting for July 6, 2016 were read by each Board Member. Herman motioned to accept the Minutes. Dall seconded the motion and all else were in favor.
Building Permits to Review
A Building Permit for Bob and Shelia Hansen was signed by the Board Members for 43 South Sage Road. The Impact Fee for $2500 had been received earlier.
Lots with Fire Hazards
The discussion was opened on the many lots without buildings that have become Fire Hazards. Gerald said it is being discussed currently at the County. They are looking into other counties that have already addressed the problem. Mary Esther and Allen will look into this by starting a conversation with the County. They will also look into where the County is at this time on the Over Night Rental Units.
Discussion on Road Work
The County will start work on our roads in August. John will report to us what they are doing at our next meeting.
Board Member Reports
Dall wanted to thank the County for the work done on the road next to his home.
Fire Chief: Gerald gave us a copy of the Chief’s Report 3 August 2016. He spoke about the seven major EMT incidents this last month. He told us with the recent rain the Saddle Fire is out. He also said the Department had received a letter from NIMO thanking us for our effort and cooperation. He also said because of the fire the Community Dinner in August would have to be canceled.
Treasurer Report: Rick Peetz read and explained the “Balance Sheet” dated August 1, 2016, the “Profit & Loss Sheet” dated July 2016, the “Profit & Loss Detail” dated July 2016 and the “Profit and Loss Budget vs. Actual” dated January through July 2016. Dall made a motion to purchase a computer and printer for the secretary at $750. Herman seconded and all in favor. Allen made a motion to accept the financials and Dall seconded and all in favor.
Dall motioned to adjourn the meeting at 7:00. Herman seconded and all in favor.
The next scheduled PVSSD meeting will be Sept. 7, 2016 at 6:00 pm.
