Pine Valley Historical Advisory Committee was created (1) by the Washington County Commission to advise the County Commission and appropriate county departments on matters relating to the historical preservation of Pine Valley.
To initiate and promote historic preservation of the historic character of the area.
To prepare both general and specific proposals for preserving the historic character of the respective areas, including suggesting goals and standards for the aesthetic and historic enhancement of the area or any parts thereof, including public ways and areas, open spaces, and public and private buildings and projects.
To Cooperate and coordinate with individuals, agencies, organizations and groups, public or private, whose plans, activities, and programs bear on or affect the historic nature of the area.
To develop and submit proposals to the County Planning Commission and the County Commission for consideration for adoption in the County's General Plan, Zoning Ordinance and Subdivision Ordinance.
Meetings are held on the first Thursday following the First Wednesday of each month at the Pine Valley Fire Station. Notice of meetings are posted in the Pine Valley Post Office.
