General Business
Mary Esther called the meeting to order at 6:00 pm. Steve led the Pledge of Allegiance and Allen led the prayer. Mary Esther welcomed Dave as this is his first meeting as a new board member.
The Minutes of the January 3, 2018 Meeting were read by each Board Member. Allen motioned to accept the Minutes. John seconded the motion and all else were in favor.
Building Permits to Review
Robert and Karleen presented Plans for Building on Lone Pine View Estates. The Contractor will be Dave Jenson Construction. The Plans were approved and then signed by Allen, Dave and Mary Esther.
Board Member Reports
Mary Esther Dall Winn has recently retired from the Board. He has served on both the Fire Department, Fire Chief and Special Service District Board for over thirty years. Mary Esther presented Dall with a Plaque for his service. Jodie Herpel took pictures of the event. Dall gave us a story of his career in the Valley. He became Fire Chief in 1992. He also became Deputy Sheriff for Pine Valley for a time and helped built the original Fire Station for the first two trucks. Dall offered to continue to help with the Fireman’s Appreciation Dinner we have in the Fall.
Fire Chief Report Steve went over the six incidents in January and then spoke about the Winter Fire School held January 19-20. 13 Firefighters attended with a total of 156 class hours. Training will be held once a week on Thursday or Saturday under Bob Hansen, the new Training Officer.
Treasurer Report Rick asked if there were any questions on the Financials from last meeting. As there weren’t any, he proceeded to read and explain the “Balance Sheet” dated January 31, 2018, the “Profit and Loss Sheet” dated January 2018, the “Profit and Loss Detail Sheet” dated January 1 through February 5, 2018 and the “Profit and Loss Budget vs. Actual Sheet” dated January 2018. Financials were motioned by John, seconded by Dave, and all were in favor.
John motioned to adjourn the meeting at 7:00 pm. Allen seconded, and all were in favor.
The next scheduled PVSSD meeting will be March 7, 2018 at 6:00 pm.
